Every photograph above is a Lavié customer, used with their permission, with the timeframe they actually reported. Individual results vary considerably with skin type, age, consistency of use and sun exposure — which is exactly why the timings below range from a month to four months.

How long it really takes

Anyone promising you a fortnight is selling you something.

Here is the honest spread from the customers above, because setting your expectations correctly is worth more to us than a sale you regret.

30 daysThe fastest anyone reported. Hydration and surface smoothness move first, which is what makes fine lines look softer.
30–45 daysWhere most people landed. Fine lines, tone and texture, on a consistent twice-daily routine.
120 daysThe longest. Deeper, more established lines take months. That is not a failure of the cream, it is how skin works.

Why it works

One jar doing the job of a serum, a retinoid and a moisturiser.

Most routines fail because they are too complicated to keep up. Matinika is built to be the whole step — the full INCI list is printed on the carton, and these are the ingredients doing the work.

Apple stem cell extractMalus Domestica Fruit Cell Culture Extract — the ingredient the formula is built around, used to support the skin’s own renewal cycle.
Retinyl palmitateA gentle vitamin A derivative. Slower than a prescription retinoid, and far better tolerated by skin that has reacted badly to one before.
Hyaluronic acidHolds water in the upper layers. It is why skin looks plumper and fine lines look softer within days rather than months.
SqualaneYour skin makes its own and makes less with age. Seals moisture in without the heavy feel of a night cream.
Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5)A humectant and conditioner that offsets the tightness and flaking active ingredients can cause.
Vitamin ETocopheryl acetate — an antioxidant that also keeps the oils stable, so the last application performs like the first.
Chamomile & calendula watersTwo long-established soothing botanicals, used as the water base of the formula rather than as a token inclusion.
Avocado, sweet almond & borage oilsFatty-acid-rich plant oils that support the skin barrier — which decides whether anything else you apply works at all.

What it is for

The four ageing concerns people write to us about.

Crepey texture and lost elasticity

The thin, finely-lined quality that appears around the eyes and on the neck first, where skin stops springing back the way it used to.

Loss of firmness

The slackening along the jaw and neck, and the loss of bounce that makes skin look tired regardless of how well you slept.

Dryness and dullness

Skin that drinks moisturiser and still feels tight by mid-afternoon, with none of the light-catching quality it used to have.

Rough texture and visible pores

The unevenness you feel under your fingertips, and the way makeup sits on top of skin instead of settling into it.

The manufacturer’s trial

Lavie Labs ran their own user trial. These were the figures.

46%reduction in under-eye wrinkles
47%increase in skin elasticity
64%increase in skin moisture
16%reduction in crow’s feet

These come from a user trial Lavie Labs ran on their own product, and we have quoted them exactly as given rather than rounding them up. They are not independently published clinical data. The photographs further up this page are our own customers, which is the evidence we would rather you judged us on.

Using it

Twice a day, about thirty seconds each time.

Cleanse first

Morning and evening on clean skin. Matinika goes on after any serum and before anything heavier.

Face, neck and décolleté

Outward and upward strokes until fully absorbed. The neck is where most people stop too early.

Wear SPF in the day

UV is the single largest driver of visible skin ageing. Without daily sun protection you undo the work every time you leave the house.

Straight answers

Where this cream is not right for you.

We would rather lose the £4.95 than have you buy something that was never going to suit you.

  • It contains a retinoid. Retinyl palmitate is mild, but if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, speak to your GP or midwife before using any vitamin A product.
  • It is fragranced. The formula contains linalool, limonene, geraniol and citronellol. If fragrance has irritated you before, patch test on your inner forearm for two days first.
  • It is a cream, not a procedure. Matinika softens the look of lines and supports firmness. It will not lift sagging skin or replace what a clinic can do — Shoshe’s deeper lines took 120 days to shift visibly.
  • This is a cosmetic, not a medicine. It is an anti-ageing cream — if your concern is pigmentation, melasma or acne, this is not the right product and we would rather tell you than sell it to you. Ask us for a free consultation instead.
  • The starter kit is a starter size. Enough to see how your skin takes to the cream, not enough to complete a full course.

Questions

Before you order

Is this a subscription?

Yes. £4.95 today is a 21-day trial. After 21 days a full-size 60ml jar ships automatically at £44.90, then £44.90 every 2 months, unless you cancel first. You can cancel at any time.

If it suits you, the then £44.90 every 2 months, and you can either order it when you want it or set up a subscription so it arrives regularly. That is a decision you make later, deliberately.

What do I get for £4.95?

A 20ml jar of Matinika™ Age Defying Cream, plus your choice of serum — Oulala (evening) or Ashkara (morning and evening) — posted to your door, UK postage included.

That is a third of the full 60ml jar for under a tenth of the price — enough to use twice daily for a few weeks and see how your skin responds before deciding on the full size.

Are the before and after photos real?

Yes. Every one is a Lavié customer, used with their permission, with the concern they came to us with and the time it actually took. We have included the 120-day result alongside the fastest ones for that reason — a page showing only the fast ones would not be an honest page.

What if it does not suit me?

There is a 60-day money-back guarantee. If the cream is not right for you, contact us within 60 days of receiving it and you will be refunded to your original payment method.

That is longer than the 21-day trial, so you are still covered after the first full-size jar arrives.

Return postage is not refunded, so it comes off the refund amount. Keep your order confirmation — proof of purchase is needed to process it.

What will appear on my bank statement?

“L.L Medical Skincare”. Payment is handled by Stripe, who process card payments for millions of businesses worldwide. We never see or store your card details.

How long before I see a difference?

Hydration and softness usually come first, often within the first week or two. Fine lines and firmness take longer — the customers above ranged from 30 days to 120. Daily sun protection makes more difference to that timeline than anything else you do.

My skin is sensitive. Is this suitable?

Matinika is formulated for all skin types, but it contains a mild retinoid and fragrance. If your skin reacts easily, patch test on your inner forearm for two days first. If you have an active skin condition or use prescription treatments, check with your GP or dermatologist.

Can I use it with the rest of my routine?

In most cases yes — after any serum, before any oil or heavier night cream. If you already use a prescription retinoid or a strong acid exfoliant, introduce Matinika on alternate evenings rather than layering everything at once.

Matinika™ is a trademark of Lavie Labs. Payment is processed securely by Stripe on behalf of L.L Medical Skincare, which is the name that will appear on your bank statement. This is a 21-day trial that continues as a subscription unless cancelled: £4.95 today, then £44.90 every 2 months from day 21. Cancel any time. The 60-day money-back guarantee runs from the date you receive your order; proof of purchase is required and return postage is deducted from the refund.

Before and after photographs are Lavié Treatments customers, published with their permission, with the timeframes they reported. Individual results vary.
